Reporting Illegal Content (Digital Services Act)

Under the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), anyone — not just account holders — can notify Homjo of content they believe is illegal, and we must act on valid notices. This page explains how that works on Homjo, what happens next, and how appeals work.

How to report

  • Use the report form — the fastest route. It asks for the location of the content, why you consider it illegal, and your contact details, which is what the DSA (Art. 16) requires a valid notice to contain.
  • Or email report@homjo.com with the same information: a link to the content, an explanation of why it is illegal, your name and email, and a statement that your report is accurate and in good faith.

You do not need a Homjo account to report. If you give an email address, you receive an automatic confirmation that we got your notice.

What happens next

  1. Your notice goes to a person at Homjo to review. Content on Homjo has already been through automated screening before it was published; a notice is reviewed by a human.
  2. If we remove or restrict the content, the person who posted it receives a statement of reasons (Art. 17) — in their dashboard and by email — saying what was decided, on what legal or policy ground, whether automated means were involved, and how to appeal.
  3. If you gave an email address, we email you our decision on your notice. If you disagree with it, write to appeals@homjo.com and a person will look at it again.

Reports from users we have designated as trusted flaggers (Art. 22) are shown first in our review queue.

Appeals

If we restrict or remove your content or your account, you can appeal from the notice in your dashboard or by emailing appeals@homjo.com. We accept appeals for at least 6 months after a decision. Appeals are reviewed by a human — not by the automated system that made the original decision — and if the appeal succeeds the content is reinstated and you are told. This is our internal complaint-handling system under Art. 20; using it never limits your right to go to court or to use certified out-of-court dispute settlement.

Points of contact (Arts. 11–12)

The provider of this service is Homjo Networks Limited, registered in Ireland under Company Number 815338. Homjo currently qualifies as a micro enterprise, so certain DSA obligations for larger platforms (including public transparency reporting and filing to the Commission's database) do not yet apply; the notice, statement-of-reasons and appeal mechanisms above operate regardless. Our moderation activity is reported at Transparency Report.
